Vision

To lead and excel in preparing academically and professionally qualified finance and banking professionals who can compete locally and regionally, and to contribute to the development of the financial and banking sector and to serving society in line with quality and academic accreditation standards.

Mission

The Finance and Banking Programme seeks to prepare graduates with the financial and banking knowledge and the professional, technical and ethical skills needed to work in modern banks and financial institutions, through high-quality academic education that keeps pace with international standards and the needs of the Libyan labour market.

Goals

The programme aims to:

  1. Prepare academically and professionally qualified graduates in finance, banking, investment and insurance.
  2. Develop students’ ability to use financial instruments, modern banking techniques and digital financial technology.
  3. Strengthen skills in financial analysis, investment appraisal, risk management and decision-making.
  4. Develop research, critical thinking and teamwork skills.
  5. Prepare students to join banks and financial institutions and to pursue postgraduate study.
  6. Instil banking ethics, regulatory compliance and social responsibility in students.
  7. Link theory with practice through field training in banks and practical case studies.
